Meet Meredith | Founder of Chaos Theøry

I’m Meredith, the person behind Chaos Theøry.

I’m not a therapist, mental-health expert, fashion insider, or somebody who woke up with a perfectly mapped-out brand plan. I’m just someone who has lived with mental illness for most of my life and eventually got tired of seeing that experience represented in ways that never really felt like me.

I was diagnosed young. I’ve dealt with medications, hospitalizations, psych wards, anxiety, depression, overthinking, spacing out, mood swings, and all the other shit that doesn’t fit neatly into an inspirational quote.

I’m also the person who loves dark clothes, horror, strange imagery, black humor, skulls, glitches, and designs that look a little like something went wrong with the system.

So Chaos Theøry became the place where those two parts of me could exist together.

I’m not naturally somebody who wants to stand in front of a camera and make myself the center of everything. I’d much rather put the thought into a design and let that speak first. A lot of what you see here comes from things I’ve felt, thought, survived, laughed about at completely inappropriate times, or wished somebody else would just say out loud.

I don’t have mental health figured out. I’m still living it.

Some days I’m productive. Some days my mind is going a hundred miles an hour. Some days I’m spacing out. Some days I’m wondering why I can’t just take my meds and act like a normal human being. And sometimes I’ll just sleep.

That’s part of why this brand matters so much to me. It gives me somewhere to put all of that.

Chaos Theøry is personal because it comes from a real person with a real history, not a marketing department trying to manufacture relatability.

If you see yourself somewhere in this mess, then you’re probably exactly where you’re supposed to be.
