Diagnosis Pending

I’ve been through enough diagnoses, evaluations, medication changes, questions, and “let’s see what happens” moments to know that mental health does not always come with a clean answer.

Sometimes you know something is going on in your head and you still don’t know exactly what to call it. Sometimes the diagnosis changes. Sometimes one thing looks like another thing. Sometimes you finally get an answer and then five years later somebody looks at the same mess and goes, “Yeah… maybe not.”

Very reassuring.

That’s where Diagnosis Pending came from.

The back looks like somebody dumped an entire psychiatric file onto a shirt. Brain scans, prescription bottles, intake paperwork, warning labels, patient notes, red marks, medical graphics, and a giant DIAGNOSIS PENDING sitting right in the middle of it.

There’s also UNDER REVIEW, which feels pretty accurate for anybody whose brain apparently needs its own ongoing investigation.

The front is completely plain on purpose. Nothing there. All the chaos is on the back.

I actually like it that way because sometimes you look completely normal from the front while your brain is running its own private emergency department behind the scenes.

This one is part of The Label Lab because not everybody has a neat diagnosis, and even when you do, that answer can change. A label can help explain something without explaining everything about you.
