Human Specimen Mental Health Graphic Tee | The Label Lab

Human Specimen

I know what it feels like to have pieces of your brain written down on paper like that somehow explains the whole person.

Diagnosis. Symptoms. Medications. Notes. Codes. Checkboxes. Somebody trying to figure out what category you belong in.

Some of that information can help. I’m not against that.

But being documented and being understood are two very different things.

That’s where Human Specimen came from.

The design is supposed to look like somebody turned a person into a research file and then still couldn’t quite figure them out. There are specimen numbers, barcodes, warnings, clinical markings and that big HUMAN SPECIMEN across the back, with the brain sitting right in the middle of all of it.

Then there’s the part that matters most to me:

CONTAINS MORE THAN THE LABEL INDICATES.

Because that’s the whole point.

You can know somebody’s diagnosis and still know almost nothing about who they actually are. Their sense of humor. Their trauma. What sets them off. What keeps them going. What they hide. What they’ve survived. What their mind sounds like at 2 a.m. when nobody else is around.

The front has a smaller Chaos Theøry Research Division specimen graphic, and the back is the full file.

Black unisex tee. Front and back print. Part of The Label Lab.

Made for anybody who has ever felt studied, labeled, analyzed, or written down before they ever felt understood.

RESISTS CLASSIFICATION.

CONTAINS MORE THAN THE LABEL INDICATES.
