Some days I have enough energy to function like a reasonably convincing human being. Other days I’m running on whatever scraps of energy are left and seriously considering whether getting dressed counts as the day’s major accomplishment.
That’s where this shirt came from. I wanted to take the idea of running on low spoons and turn it into something that looked like an actual prescription label—because apparently my energy supply needs instructions, refills, and a warning label at this point. The artwork has an old prescription-file feel with spilled pills, a bottle, and the kind of paperwork that makes it look like somebody officially documented the fact that I’m tired.
For me, spoon theory puts words to those days when everything takes more energy than it should. Sometimes I can do ten things without thinking about it. Sometimes answering one text feels like I’ve already exceeded my daily operating limit. There’s no inspirational speech attached to that. Sometimes the battery is just low.
The tee is soft, unisex, and easy to wear when your available energy is already being rationed. Consider it my unofficial prescription for days when the plan is basically: eat something, sleep when possible, and try again tomorrow.
