Some breakdowns are obvious.

Some of them look completely fine from the outside while your brain is hanging on by whatever thread it found lying around.

That is where Sugar Coated Breakdown came from.

I wanted this one to look almost sweet at first — pink, aqua, candy colors, chains, and that warped skull right in the middle of it. Then you actually look at the artwork and start seeing the prescription-style details, warning labels, pills, caution graphics, and HANDLE WITH CARE sitting underneath the whole mess.

Basically: cute packaging, questionable contents.

Which feels pretty accurate.

There have been plenty of times in my life when I’ve looked functional, talked normally, done whatever I was supposed to do, and meanwhile my brain was somewhere in the background throwing furniture.

Not every breakdown looks dramatic.

Sometimes you just keep moving and hope nobody notices the system is running on fumes.

I put this one on a black-and-white ¾-sleeve raglan because I wanted it to feel different from the regular tees. The contrast sleeves give it that old-school baseball-shirt shape while the graphic makes sure absolutely nothing about it feels wholesome.

It has a unisex fit, ¾-length sleeves, fine-knit jersey construction, and it’s prewashed to help reduce shrinkage.
