Collection: Chemical Imbalance

Chemical Imbalance came from what it feels like when my brain is doing entirely too much and somehow nothing useful at the same time.

Mood shifts. Racing thoughts. Medication changes. Overthinking everything until I don’t even know what I was thinking about in the first place. Days when I’m overstimulated, days when I have no dopamine in my brain and apparently the solution is, I’ll just sleep.

I didn’t make this collection to make mental illness look pretty or turn it into some cute personality trait. I made it because this is part of what my life has looked like, and sometimes dark humor and putting the chaos somewhere outside of my own head is how I deal with it.

Chemical Imbalance takes all of that and turns it into distorted graphics, clinical references, glitchy artwork, warning labels, dark humor, and the kind of imagery that looks a little like my brain feels.

Some of it is loud. Some of it is fucked up. Some of it makes me laugh because apparently that is one of my coping mechanisms.

None of it is pretending mental health is simple.

It’s just another part of the chaos.
